UNSAID TRUTHS ABOUT AFRICA
Unsaid Truths About Africa
Often times i sit down and think for a moment about my beloved continent Africa. Apart from been the world's second largest and second most-populous continent with 1.2 billion people as of 2016, it also accounts for about 16% of the world's human population [Wikipedia]. There are so many twist about this great continent.
Think About This
Africa has a lot of potentials that is buried within it but the twist is that other part of the world understands this and they invest so much in Africa so that they can partake in the dividends of Africa. But those who are in the realms of affairs steals from the economy and then go out to hide or invest it.
Like a start up business with a great potential to break even and actualize great success, if the founder of the start up does not not believe in it how then will it excel?

Things We Should Do
- We should believe in the potential of Africa and the possibility of its success and greatness: Just like an orange seed that has within it the capacity to become a tree, Africa has the capacity to lead the world.
- We should rewrite the narrative of Africa with its potentials in mind: Most people do not think anything good can come out of Africa. We can use what we have to change the narrative and redefine who we are and what we stand for and how capable we are to impact the world positively.
- Intentionally reeducated the world about us and not wait for them to tell us about us: Most histories about Africa even its culture is written by non-Africans and that is not good enough. We should do something about it.
- Take action to provide solution to our challenges: some times the singular differentiating factors between successful people and those who are not successful is simply action. Talks and plans does not work themselves, we should take calculated actions.
- We should invest in Africa especially in the area of research. This is one area that has been grossly neglected.
- Collaborate with the rest of the world to actualize the UN SDGs.
