4 COMMON FACTORS THAT ENABLE YOU LIVE YOUR DREAMS One thing I’ve found common to most young people is that they all have a dream. At the least, the picture of a desirable future that they can talk about with excitement. Some ofcourse are fantasy but what makes it a fantasy is the lack of these 4 common factors outlined below. Growth and development are often used interchangeably. Growth is the process of increasing in amount, value, or importance. On the other hand development is the process of coming into existence or of CREATING something new or more advanced. 2. Development is the inner working that produces the outer result seen as growth. It is simply the process of growing or changing to become more valuable. 3. Development is internal while growth is most external. Development focuses on qualitative measures while growth on quantitative measures. Growth is usually seen as changes in appearance while development changes in character. 4. Part Two All possession depends on consciousness. Therefore to bring your dreams to fruition, you need to engage first in conditioning your mind to think thoughts that produce what you desire. Life is spiritual and to deny this truth is delusional. You need to guard your mind from inconsistent information and contradicting thoughts. And since thinking is an intentional act, it means that you are responsible for what you think. What you think in your spirit mind is what you will see in the physical. MY APPARENT DISCOVERY ABOUT LIFE's GOAL Growing up I used to be inquisitive…full of dreams and somehow… goal driven. I remember taking sixth position in primary one (grade one) and did not like it at all. Then getting to primary two I wanted first position but ended up taking third and then second position- it seems like first position hated me and I was pleading to at least know how it feels like to be number one. Unfortunately, I didn’t take first position until JSS2 (High school) and surprisingly, I didn’t feel anything special. TACKLE THE THING I often hear young people say things like ‘Abeg this is not my thing’ (Nigerian Pidgin). Well that’s cool but what is your thing? What is that thing that your life represents? What is your goal? Life is meaningless without a goal. I once heard the man of God Pastor Chris Oyakhilome say Life without Christ is meaningless. And that burst my bubbles. In fact it got my attention. Your life is a gift to you; and you have the responsibility to make it what you want it to be.
